Ghostyak Notes v0.1.4-beta is released

Ghostyak Notes v0.1.4-beta is released. This version adds outline editing and a minimap, and tidies up the layout.

Build your own outline

You can now create an outline yourself, even for a PDF that has none. In the Outline tab of the sidebar, add the place you are viewing as an entry, rename it, and drag it to change its order and level. You can also right-click a page and choose Add to outline, or select some text and click Outline in the menu. Outlines that came with the PDF can be edited too, and you can restore the original outline.

Minimap

A minimap on the right side of the document now shows the whole document in miniature. You can see at a glance where you are, the outline, and where your handwritten pages, marked text and bookmarks are, and while you search it also shows the matches. Click or drag on the minimap to jump straight to that place. A toolbar button turns it on and off.

Hold to straighten

Pause without lifting the pen or highlighter and the stroke becomes a straight line. Keep holding and move to place its end. You can turn this off in Settings.

Layout

• The window title bar is gone, and the tab bar takes its place.
• Page number, back and forward, zoom and view mode are now together in a bar at the bottom of the window.
• The view menu has a new Fit height option, and you can type a zoom level directly.
• The toolbar has a new print button.
• When you widen the sidebar, the page list is laid out in two or three columns.
• When you add a blank page, you choose its background: plain, lined, grid, dotted or Cornell.
• The Peek tool is now called Translucent.

Fixes

• Fixed text being lost when you closed the window while still typing it.
• Fixed the view slipping back by one page every time you turned the cover page on or off.
• Fixed the bookmark and search-match marks beside the scroll bar not lining up with their actual positions.

The document format has changed in this version. Documents opened in this version cannot be opened in earlier versions of Ghostyak Notes.
